The NMC will replace the Medical Council of India (MCI), which disbanded in 2010 following allegations of embezzlement. Last year's regular MBBS test will now be known as the National Exit Test (NEXT) for starting medical practice . The FMGE 2022 test is conducted multiple times in one year, i.e. in June and December. This test is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). This test allows Indian nationals with remote medical skills to test in India.
