Gandaki Medical College was established in 2007. GMCTH is permanently affiliated to Tribhuvan University. Gandaki Medical College & Teaching Hospital is one of the best medical institutes for MBBS in Nepal.

In terms of academic programs, undergraduate medical courses were started in 2007. GMU recognized by the Medical Council of India (now NMC), New Delhi, Sri Lanka Medical Council and WHO. The arrangement of infrastructures is done in accordance with the “Infrastructure Guidelines and Guidelines for Establishment and Operation of Private and Non-Government Health Institutions, 2070” issued by the Ministry of Health and Population, Government of Nepal. The college will provide free tuition to ten (10%) percent of students nominated by the Government of Nepal.
GMC is proposing a 900-bed teaching hospital with all clinical and medical facility activities, thereby providing excellent healthcare.
