National Research Lobachev State University in Nizhny Novgorod was founded in 1916. After the Bolshevik Revolution, it became the first university of Soviet Russia to be restored. The main campus of UNN is located in the historical center of Nizhny Novgorod.

Nizhny Novgorod (formerly Gorky) is the capital of the Volga Federal District of Russia, one of Russia's most important industrial and cultural centers (more than 1.5 million inhabitants). Nizhny Novgorod is located at the confluence of the Oka and Volga rivers 400 km east of Moscow (1 hour by plane or 3.5 hours by train). Some campuses of UNN are located in neighboring cities of the region – Arzamas, Balakhna and Dzerzhinsk. HOSTEL ACCOMODATION:-

Each campus room includes a bed, pillow, mattress, blanket, table with chair, water heaters and suitable lighting for studying and relaxing.
All rooms in the hostel are furnished and vary in size and Wi-Fi in most rooms.
Dormitories can accommodate 2 or 3 students in each room.
There are common areas where students can socialize and can arrange a sports, cultural and educational program.
Each room in the campus is equipped with a kitchen for students to cook food of their choice. Students will only need to arrange their own dishes and cooking.
The administrative unit of the university is responsible for housekeeping, room cleaning and student safety.
For international students, there is a canteen provided by the campus according to their diet.
